Young Illustrators In-Person

We'll create different take-home artwork each week based on various illustrators' work, and learn about the styles they use.

  • JULY 1: watercolor resist (inspired by Feronia Parker-Thomas, How the Crayons Saved the Rainbow)
  • JULY 8: art markers (inspired by Catherine Pearson, Dragonfly)
  • JULY 15: NO CLASS due to special STEAM Week programs
  • JULY 22: collage (inspired by Ed Emberley, Chicken Little)
  • JULY 29: tempera paint (inspired by Hokusai, The Great Wave: A Children's Book Inspired by Hokusai)
  • AUGUST 5: clay (inspired by Felicia Bond, If You Give a Cat a Cookie)
  • AUGUST 12: doodles (inspired by Jon Klassen's shapes)
