The private library of Dr. A.S.W Rosenbach and his brother, Philip, contains nearly 400,000 rare books, manuscripts, and fine and decorative arts objects, including some of the best-known literary and historical objects in the world. Renowned dealers in books, the brothers maintained an impressive personal collection, which is now the core of the Rosenbach.  Treasures include the only surviving copy of Benjamin Franklin’s first Poor Richard Almanac and the manuscript of James Joyce’s Ulysses. The collection is continuously growing, including the addition of the papers of poet Marianne Moore, and Bram Stoker’s notes for Dracula.

Admits 2 adults and 2 children. Visitors are strongly encouraged to pre-register for timed tickets online or by calling 215-732-1600.
