Explore the Schuylkill River National Heritage Area

Explore the Schuylkill River National Heritage Area Online

The Schuylkill being “The River of Revolutions” has embedded itself in the history of the United States through:

• The American Revolution

• The Industrial Revolution

• The Environmental Revolution

• The Recreation Revolution

Join us as we explore how the river has shaped our lives today and how we can protect this historical resource for generations to come.

Also hear about the projects and plans underway to complete the 120-mile long Schuylkill River Trail and the Schuylkill River Water Trail that continues to connect people to the river and the history around it.

Presented by the Schuylkill River Greenways, National Heritage Area, a non-profit organization that promotes the Schuylkill River, its watershed, and the Schuylkill River Trail. Our mission is to connect residents, visitors, and communities to the River and the Trail by serving as a catalyst for civic engagement and economic development in order to foster stewardship of the watershed and its heritage.  To learn more and receive our newsletter, please visit www.schuylkillriver.org.
