Design Squad Maker: Animal Inventions

Design Squad Maker: Animal Inventions In-Person

Do you have a pet or know someone who does? Do you like animals? How could you create a better way to care for a pet or help animals on a farm, at the zoo, or in the wild? Use your imagination to design something new in the Design Squad Maker workshop. In this workshop, you'll learn steps in the design process while designing and creating something to help our furry friends.

This workshop is for chidren ages 8-11 and their caregiver. Adults stay in the workshop and help the process! As part of the workshop, participants will also use an app that walks families through the steps of the design process, helps document their projects, and provides activities to do at home. As a test site for this exciting new program, families will have the opportunity to give feedback to the creators before and after the program.

Program and resources are part of the Design Squad Maker project, a partnership between GBH Boston and NYSCI.
