The Lenape Nation of Pennsylvania Online

Adam Waterbear DePaul, member of the Tribal Council and Storykeeper of the Lenape Nation of Pennsylvania, presents an overview of the past, present, and future of the Lenape Nation of Pennsylvania.

Learn about the history of the Lenape, including their relationship with William Penn and his sons, their diaspora, and the forced assimilation of those who remained. Adam will discuss different Lenape Nations throughout the US and Canada today, and the Nation’s efforts to preserve and revitalize their Culture. You’ll hear about initiatives including the Language Revitalization Project and the Rising Nation River Journey, and there will be time at the end dedicated to questions.

The Lenape Nation of Pennsylvania is a nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing awareness of Lenape history while continuing the preservation and revival of the language and cultural traditions.
