CCL Teens: Six-Word Memoir Contest

CCL Teens: Six-Word Memoir Contest In-Person

During the month of April, Chester County Library is running a Six-Word Memoir Contest for teens in Grades 6-12.  The topic: Life during COVID-19.

"Six-Word Memoirs" are a personal twist on the writing form that, according to literary lore, Ernest Hemingway started when he was challenged to write a whole novel in just six words: "For sale: baby shoes, never worn."

Teens should email their Six-Word Memoirs to LURBANI@CCLS.ORG.
Please include the following in your email:
Your name, grade, school, and your Six-Word Memoir.

The contest runs April 1-30, 2021.

Prizes will be awarded for each grade. Winners will be notified on Monday, May 3, and will have their work published on Chester County Library's Facebook page and Instagram page.
