MEET THE ELEPHANTS - DELRITA

MEET THE ELEPHANTS - DELRITA Online

Calling all elephant lovers! Meet real, live Asian elephants in a 3-part Zoom series lead by Teachers of Nature.

This week meet Delrita, a favorite resident at the Endangered Ark Foundation in Oklahoma. She will show you her trunk and all the incredible things she can do with it. Like drink, pick things up and even paint! Delrita will also show you her teeth, her feet and a close-up of her skin! How many teeth does an elephant have? How many toes? Is the skin soft or tough? Join us to find out, and ask all your questions!

This series is brought to you by Spring City Public Library and co-hosted by Atglen Public Library, Avon Grove Library, Chester Springs Library, Coatesville Area Public Library, Downingtown Library and Oxford Public Library. Registration is available on any of these Chester County Library's electronic calendars.

A Zoom link will be emailed to participants 2 hours before the event. Please register separately for each part of this 3-part series.

The Endangered Ark Foundation is a private, non-profit organization in southeast Oklahoma, dedicated to ensuring the future of Asian Elephants in North Africa, providing a retirement ranch for circus elephants, and educating the public about this endangered species. The foundation was established in 1993 by Dr. and Isla Miller to help preserve the endangered Asian Elephant species. The Miller Family's EAF elephant herd is one of the largest in the United States.
