World Postcard Day In-Person
Thursday October 1 is World Postcard Day, and we are turning the Gallery into a writing room. Drop-in between 5:30-6:30pm and pick up one of our limited edition Kennett Library postcards, and we will hand you a stamp and an address to send it to. We will also introduce you to Postcrossing, the free global postcard exchange where every card you send earns you one back from a stranger somewhere in the world. All you need to bring is a willingness to write to someone you have never met.
Then watch for the cards that come home to us. As replies arrive at the library over the following weeks, we will put them on display so you can stop in and see how far our mail has traveled, and maybe start a mailing adventure of your own.
