We Hold These Truths To Be Self Evident- A reading & discussion of the Declaration of Independence In-Person
As we celebrate the 250th anniversary of America's founding, join local historian Jim Segrave-Daly for a lively discussion of the Declaration of Independence and the contentious debates in the Continental Congress that led to the creation of one of the world's greatest documents addressing "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness". There will be a reading of the Declaration, which Thomas Jefferson considered one of his greatest accomplishments.
Jim (thelocalhistorygeek.com) has presented nationwide to libraries and civic organizations for more than 15 years. He has deep family ties to the Revolution and is an active member of Radnor Historical Society, the American Revolution Roundtable of Philadelphia, America250PADelco, Founding Forward, and a volunteer history teacher.
