A Rain Garden: You Can Do It! In-Person

Attend this how-to workshop on designing and installing a rain garden on your own property. If you wish, bring photos of a site on your property where you would like to build a rain garden.

Rain gardens are specially constructed flower beds that collect water from a downspout, driveway, or other hard surface. Filled with beautiful native plants and shrubs, rain gardens filter out road salt and other pollutants and show the flow of stormwater into streams and rivers.

Presented by Jamie Anderson, Darby Creek Valley Association Board member, and Steven Lockard, Upper Darby Rain Gardens co-coordinator.
