The Banned Book Club In-Person

Welcome to the Banned Book Club! Each session, we read and discuss a book that’s been banned or challenged—this month, it’s The Giver by Lois Lowry. We’ll dive into the story itself and unpack the reasons behind its censorship.

Join us to explore bold ideas, question why certain voices are silenced, and celebrate the freedom to read.

Registration required. For adults ages 18 years and up. This program supports PA Forward Civic and Social Literacy. 

When you register for an event, we are holding a spot for you. If your schedule changes and you can’t attend, please let us know so we can open your spot to someone else.
