DVCCC Real Talk for Teens: Healthy Relationships & Recognizing Abuse In-Person
Dating shouldn’t hurt, but for 1 in 3 teens, it does – and not always in ways that are easy to spot. DVCCC’s interactive, discussion-based education program helps teens explore what healthy relationships actually look like, while breaking down the most common relationship behaviors that can lead to harm.
This session is designed to be fun, accessible, and real. Through activities, conversations, and relatable, real-life examples, students will learn how to recognize red flags, support each other, and build relationships based on respect – not control.
What we cover:
- What relationship abuse is, and how it shows up in teen relationships
- Red flags vs. green flags: breaking down common unhealthy behaviors
- Respectful communication, boundaries, and expectations
- Ways to support a friend (or yourself) safely
