Open Hours in the Children's Makerspace: Water Filtration & Erosion Control (design challenge) In-Person

Our Makerspace team is pleased to offer Open Hours starting this summer in the Children’s Makerspace. Each week, the Children’s Makerspace will host a different theme for patrons to explore from *11 am to 4 pm – no registration required, just stop by!

This week's theme:  Water Filtration & Erosion Control (design challenge)

In this design challenge, kids will explore physical sciences by creating their own water filtration devices and solving problems affecting the environment like erosion and sedimentation. Various materials and resources will be available for kids to research and come up with their own ideas about how to solve real world problems.

*The Makerspace may need to close for lunch - TBD

Please note: Children under eleven must be under the direct supervision of a responsible caregiver (at least 16 years of age) at all times while on Library premises, pursuant to the Library’s Policy on Unattended Children. Please visit our list of policies here.
