Welcome to Dessert Club at the Hankin Library, an adult program designed for individuals who love to make -- and eat -- desserts! Each quarter we will focus on a different theme or type of dessert. 

For our first meeting on Monday, June 23 we will be focusing on desserts that feature summer fruits. 

In other words, please prepare a dessert containing summer fruit. The source of your recipe is up to you, whether it be from the internet, a cookbook, a family recipe handed down from generations ago, or somewhere else. The Chester County Library System has countless dessert cookbooks in its collection; if you still find yourself struggling for inspiration we suggest Martha Stewart's Fruit Desserts, which will be on display at the Customer Service Desk.

If you decide to use the recommended cookbook above, please stop by the Customer Service Desk to select your recipe, and then we will make you a photocopy of the recipe to take home with you.

On the evening of the event participants will bring in their desserts to share and enjoy with one another. Discussing the recipes and experiences in preparing the recipes will all be part of the fun. 

Please bring a plate, eating utensils, and a serving fork or spoon for your dessert.

Please note that this is an adult program for ages 14 and up. 

Registration is required. Registration will close 2 hours prior to the scheduled start time of the event.
