Arbo-READ-um Begins!

Arbo-READ-um is a program series born from a partnership between the library and Jenkins Arboretum & Gardens. This summer, we will work together to provide opportunities to promote literacy, library and arboretum usage, and community conversations by discussing a book with the Tredyffrin Township community.

June 16 through August 1, join us in reading Soil: The Story of a Black Mother’s Garden by poet and scholar Camille T. Dungy. Definitive and singular, Soil functions at the nexus of nature writing, environmental justice, and prose to encourage readers to recognize the relationship between the African diaspora and the land on which they live, and to understand that wherever soil rests beneath their feet is home.
