Silambam Mixed Martial Arts

Silambam Mixed Martial Arts In-Person

Silambam is an ancient Indian martial art form that is traditionally practiced using a rattan Bo staff. This dynamic and powerful discipline not only serves as a means of self-defense but also plays a key role in enhancing physical and mental well-being. Through the practice of Silambam, individuals develop heightened discipline, confidence, and self-control. The art form is designed to improve reflexes, hand-eye coordination, and overall body strength, while also offering a full-body workout that enhances flexibility, endurance, and agility.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own water bottle and a sweat towel to stay refreshed during the session. For attire, please wear track/workout pants or leggings, a T-shirt, and appropriate shoes. Make sure the clothing is comfortable, but not too loose to allow for ease of movement and safety during practice.

Registration required. For ages 8 years and up. This program supports PA Forward Health Literacy.

When you register for an event, we are holding a spot for you. If your schedule changes and you can’t attend, please let us know so we can open your spot to someone else.
