Annual Crabby Creek Macroinvertebrate Study

Annual Crabby Creek Macroinvertebrate Study In-Person

Please join the Tredyffrin Environmental Advisory Council for the annual study of stream health of Crabby Creek in Crabby Creek Park.  Under the guidance of freshwater biologist Dr. Kate Doms and volunteers from the Valley Forge Chapter of Trout Unlimited, participants will collect, identify, and classify small macroinvertebrates from the stream. The macroinvertebrates collected will serve as indicators of the biological health of the stream.  Meet at the Walnut Street entrance to Crabby Creek Park.  Boots or other waterproof footwear are highly recommended (no sandals).  For more information, please contact annemurphy2@verizon.net or 610-470-6960. Every participant bring a signed waiver to the event. The waiver will be emailed to you upon registration.

*Please note that measurable rain at the start of the event cancels the event. Please contact Anne Murphy at the number above if you are unsure.
