How to be a Citizen Scientist in Astronomy! In-Person
What is a key characteristic of scientists? They are always curious and asking questions about why things are the way they seem to be. You may not have a degree in astronomy but you too can be a scientist.
Citizen Science is a way for anyone to contribute to ongoing scientific endeavors using online tools. You can look for clouds on Mars, assist with searching for new planets, and even search for black holes to name a few possibilities.
This talk will give a broad background to Citizen Science, show the wealth of opportunities that exist just in space science, and we will even do some actual science during the session as a group.
Donald Miller is a retired pharmaceutical researcher; his love for astronomy and space has been a life-long passion. He is a NASA Solar System Ambassador and enjoys sharing his knowledge about what NASA and other organizations are doing in space.
Space is limited and registration is required.
