Hankin Poetry Salon

Hankin Poetry Salon In-Person

Join us to hear and share poetry, verse, or anything poetry adjacent. Guests are invited to read/recite but also encouraged to join us just to listen in a relaxed, supportive gathering for community building, combining culture and literary arts. All are welcome to come listen as local poets share their works to get the evening started, followed by guests who rise to continue the flow and feel of the thread. Participants are free to share their own works or the works of published authors. A plethora of poetry volumes will be available. Peruse them at your leisure, and if a poem moves you, consider sharing with the audience!

Ages 16 and up are welcome. Many will simply listen and enjoy the spoken art. Registration is encouraged (so we know how many snacks to provide!) but not required. Drop-ins welcome.

When you register for an event, we are holding a spot for you. If your schedule changes and you can’t attend, please let us know so we can open your spot to someone else.
