Symphony of Sahyadri by Pandit Milind Raikar In-Person
Join us for a mesmerizing evening, Symphony of Sahyadri, as we celebrate the rich heritage of the Marathi language through the soulful strings of violin, led by the renowned musician Pandit Milind Raikar. This unique program blends history, culture, and music, bringing together the timeless spirit of Maharashtra.
The Government of India has recognized Marathi as a “classical language” (Abhijāta Bhāṣā), reflecting its deep connection to India’s cultural and literary legacy. Rooted in folk traditions, philosophy, and classical music, Marathi continues to be a cornerstone of India's cultural identity.
The Sahyadri mountain range, which forms the majestic Western Ghats of Maharashtra, stands as a testament to the valor of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. His legacy of bravery and patriotism shaped the survival and flourishing of the Marathi identity, inspiring countless generations. From epic literature to folk music, Marathi has produced some of India’s greatest literary figures whose works continue to captivate and inspire.
Tea and socialization will take place from 6:00 pm until 6:30pm.
