Seed Planting Workshop with Roughwood Seeds: Become an Extraordinary Gardener

Seed Planting Workshop with Roughwood Seeds: Become an Extraordinary Gardener In-Person

Come join us in our courtyard and get a head start on your garden this spring. This drop-in, hands-on event is in partnership with Roughwood Center for Heritage Seedways. Adults and children can work with volunteers from Roughwood to plant heirloom seeds in pots and learn how to care for them. Children’s librarians will hold story times at 12:30 and 1:30 PM, for a reading of Longwood Garden’s Community Read book, The Extraordinary Gardener. Also, don’t miss the BBQ truck, parked near the library, a raffle, and fun crafts for all ages. This is sure to be a fun Earth Day event! Crafts and seeds are available while supplies last. This event is free, but BBQ food and additional seeds are available for purchase. Rain or Shine!
