Streambank Restoration and Stormwater Management

Streambank Restoration and Stormwater Management In-Person / Online

In our modern suburban landscape, streamside property ownership can present unique maintenance challenges. Suburban streams often experience streambank erosion, flooding, and habitat degradation due to increased impervious surfaces and higher volumes of stormwater runoff. Developing and implementing potential solutions to these problems can be complicated by local, state, or federal policies that are designed to protect our water resources. This presentation will review how to select effective restoration practices, the permitting requirements for common restoration approaches, and resources for project planning and implementation.

This program is supported by a grant from the Essential Foundation.

Registration is required.

If you require an accommodation that will facilitate your participation, please fill out the library's request form at least three weeks prior to the program. If you have any questions, please contact Sam at ssorensen@tredyffrinlibraries.org.
