Virtual: The Poetry of Emily Dickinson Online
Delve into National Poetry Month by exploring the work of Emily Dickinson! Emily Dickinson is widely regarded as one of America’s finest poets. Join us as we welcome Peter Conn, retired University of Pennsylvania Vartan Gregorian Professor of English and Professor of Education, who will present a brief account of Emily Dickinson's life and the cultural setting in which she lived and wrote, followed by a discussion of a small anthology of poems (see attached).
This is a truly interactive event. Please have a read of these poems and then join in for this fascinating discussion. Peter also welcomes suggestions of other poems to discuss. Once you are registered for the event, you will be sent a link to a form from which you can make suggestions. For more information on our special guest presenter click here.
