Ladybug Launch with author Melissa Trempe

Ladybug Launch with author Melissa Trempe In-Person

IN PERSON

For ages 4 to 8: Discover fascinating facts about ladybugs and learn why they've traveled to outer space with children's book author, Melissa Trempe, on March 26 at 5:00. You'll learn about her book Ladybug Launch: Inspired by a True Story of Chinitas in Space, see live ladybugs up close, and participate in a ladybug craft. Curious about space, insects, or being an author? Bring your questions and get ready to have some fun!

Melissa Trempe is a local author and educator who loves connecting with young readers at school visits. Her book, Ladybug Launch, is about an ambitious chica with dreams of becoming a scientist, and a little chinita (ladybug) that dreams of flying to space. Neither dream is easy to reach, but together anything is possible! Their tale is inspired by a determined group of Chilean students who convinced NASA to send their ladybug experiment to space!
