Indie Lens Pop-Up, presented by ITVS, INDEPENDENT LENS, and Tredyffrin Public Library in partnership with WHYY present: Free for All: The Public Library
Join us for a free and exclusive advance screening of Free for All: The Public Library. This documentary tells the story of the quiet revolutionaries who made a simple idea happen. From the pioneering women behind the “Free Library Movement” to today’s librarians who service the public despite working in a contentious age of closures and book bans, meet those who created a civic institution where everything is free and the doors are open to all. The film will last around 60 minutes. View the trailer.
There will be activities before the film and time to discuss and ask questions after. Refreshments will be provided.
Location: 582 Upper Gulph Road, Strafford, PA 19087
Registration is required.
If you require an accommodation that will facilitate your participation, please fill out the library's request form at least three weeks prior to the program. If you have any questions, please contact Sam at ssorensen@tredyffrinlibraries.org.
