Quilting for Beginners

Quilting for Beginners In-Person

Join us for a special 8-week quilting series led by a skilled quilter! In this hands-on class, you'll learn the entire process of creating a 32" x 32" quilt from start to finish.

This program is designed for experienced sewers looking to enhance their quilting skills. Sign up today to secure your spot!

For this series you will need to bring your own sewing machine and the following supplies: 

Supply list:

  • extra needles for sewing machine
  • filled bobbins
  • 50 weight cotton sewing thread
  • 1 yard of a light fabric (100% cotton)
  • 1 yard of a contrasting fabric (100% cotton)
  • 24" x 6" see through ruler
  • 6 1/2" see through square ruler
  • rotary cutter 
  • 17" x 23" rotary cutting mat

All products are Omnigrid or Olfa brand. You can find these at Joann Fabric or any quilt shop. Looking for online options? Check out the Fat Quarter Shop website. 

Registration required. For adults ages 18 years and up. This program supports PA Forward Civic and Social Literacy.
