Drop-in Craft Class for Adults: Create a Memorial Star Ornament In-Person
Grief is difficult. The holiday season can be an especially hard time of year without a loved one. Whether this is your first year without them, or if many years have gone by, they are always missed. This holiday season cope creatively with ceramic artist and Phoenixville native Maureen Donovan Garcia by creating a one-of-a-kind memorial star ornament to honor and remember your lost loved one.
Maureen will have precut clay stars for participants to decorate, along with alphabet and various other stamps for embellishing. She will kiln fire and deliver the ornaments to the library for pick up at a later date. Creators may then adorn their stars with ribbon, bells, acrylic paints, glitter, or whatever they’d like to complete their treasured memorial to commemorate their missed loved one.
Stop by the Community Room on Saturday November 30 anytime between 1pm-3pm to decorate your special star. Please note one star per person, while supplies last. Participants should expect to spend about 10-15 minutes creating their star.
