Open Makerspace Hours In-Person
Open Hours Makerspace Guidelines: Registration Required (Only one registration need per family.)
Our Makerspace is a community space where you can make, create, design, and build!
All ages are welcome in the Makerspace. During Open Hours, you can sign up to work on independent projects with the assistance of Makerspace staff. No lessons or prepared projects will be provided at this time. Equipment available includes 3D printers, Cricut Machines, Dye Sublimation Printing, Laser Engraving/Cutting, Meta Quest 3 Headsets, and iPads with ProCreate, Tinkercad, and more.
Makers must sign a Makerspace Waiver on their first Open Hours visit and have a library card in good standing. Youth under the age of 9 must be accompanied by an adult 18+. Youth ages 10-12 must have an adult 18+ in the building, and teens ages 13-17 may use the Makerspace on their own, but must have a Makerspace Waiver signed by guardian before first use.
This program fulfills PA Forward's Civic and Social Literacy through "community engagement which allows individuals to interact with one another, in a participatory manner."
