Let's Get Cooking! a cookbook club for everybody

Let's Get Cooking! a cookbook club for everybody In-Person

Let's Get Cooking is a monthly potluck-style event, where we will share recipes we've prepared from the chosen cookbook for that month.

The cookbook of the month will be selected and announced one month prior to the monthly meeting and placed at the Customer Service Desk at the Henrietta Hankin Branch Library. Stop in, browse the cookbook, and receive a complimentary copy of the recipe of your choice -- this will be the dish that you prepare at home and bring in on the day of our gathering.

Participants will discuss the recipes they have chosen, their experience preparing the dish, and any modifications made. Dishes will be shared among the group for tasting. Participants will be encouraged to share food and culture stories from their own lives.

For our May 7, 2025 event we will be preparing dishes from Provisions: the roots of Caribbean cooking by Michelle Rousseau and Suzanne Rousseau.

Please bring eating utensils, a dish for tasting and serving spoon for your dish.

Please note that this is an adult program for ages 14 and up.

Registration is required. Registration will close 2 hours prior to the scheduled start time of the event.
