Doc of the Month: "The Death and Life of Marsha P. Johnson"

Doc of the Month: "The Death and Life of Marsha P. Johnson" In-Person

Grab a friend and get ready to learn something new through engaging documentaries at your local library. Each month starting in February we'll be showing a documentary in the library that corresponds with that month's heritage or awareness designation. In honor of LGBTQIA+ Pride Month, MPL will be screening The Life and Death of Marsha P. Johnson directed by David France. From the Netflix website:

David France’s The Death and Life of Marsha P. Johnson, is a deeply compelling look at the murder of a transgender legend, known as “the Rosa Parks of the LGBT movement.” The powerful, haunting film is France’s follow-up to his Academy Award® nominated How to Survive a Plague. The Death and Life of Marsha P. Johnson is presented by Public Square Films; Joy A. Tomchin and Sara Ramirez (Grey’s Anatomy) served as executive producers; L.A. Teodosio produced.

Registration is required as seats are limited. Questions? Contact Moses Sharpe at msharpe@ccls.org or call the library at 610-644-7259.
