Flaneur the Brandywine

Flaneur the Brandywine In-Person

Flaneuring was originally a more urban experience of walking, observing, and thinking about our surroundings. Walking has long been one of the ways our greatest artists and writers have generated ideas and found inspiration. Participants are invited to flaneur the beautiful trails that Andrew Wyeth found inspiring and open themselves to the muse of nature. Informational rest/reflect stations will be situated for you to encounter along the trails sharing some information and quotes from some of the artists/writers who were/are known for their practice of walking and creating.

P.S. - The Wyeth family has a long tradition of honoring Halloween by dressing up and donning creepy makeup. You are invited to indulge your spooky side for this walk (aka costumes welcomed)!

Participants will meet at the Brandywine Conservancy & Museum of Art. The specific meeting location will be sent prior to the event.
