In The Frame Photo Project: ORIENTATION

In The Frame Photo Project: ORIENTATION In-Person

Calling all young photographers in grades 6-9.

Be inspired by the book Framed by Frank Cottrell Boyce in which the characters look at their town with fresh eyes and see its hidden beauty.

Take your camera into your community and look for the unusual, hidden, or beautiful sights all around you. This could be a view from an alternative angle, your favorite place to go, the contrast of new and old together, or simply a small detail in the street that stands out to you.

Participants will be provided with a disposable (film) camera, a copy of the book “Framed” and a notebook for recording their pictures. The photos will be developed by the library and an exhibit held later in the year. In order to join this project, participants must attend the Project Orientation on June 24th at 6:30pm. Materials will be passed out at the Project Orientation.

The project will be completed on August 30th. Participants will give the cameras back to the library so we can get the photos developed and ready for the photo exhibit.

Registration required, space is limited.
