Finding Justice: The Untold Story of Women’s Fight for the Vote tells the story of a band of intrepid women and their one-ton bronze bell that became a celebrated icon of the women's suffrage movement. The woman who had the bell made and was its guardian and custodian was a resident of Strafford. Her name was Katharine Wentworth Ruschenberger. Join us for a screening of the documentary and a Q&A session with Amanda Owen, the writer and director.

Amanda Owen is the Executive Director of the Justice Bell Foundation. She wrote and directed the documentary "Finding Justice: The Untold Story of Women's Fight for the Vote," and is currently writing a book about the Justice Bell's role in the American women's suffrage movement.
This program fulfills PA Forward's Civic and Social Literacy through "engaging in discourse while remaining respectful of other individuals of varying opinions; understanding the importance of community engagement which allows individuals to interact with one another, in a participatory manner; invoking societal change."
