From Inspiration to Expression In-Person
The National League of Pen Women Diamond State Branch’s Arts and Letters Challenge allowed its artists and writers to stimulate their creativity, push creative boundaries, explore different creative ways of expression, and present their unique points of view.
Members submitted existing writings that were used as inspiration for new paintings. Artists would pick a title of written work from a hat and go on to create a new painting.
“From Inspiration to Expression” is the culmination of this unique project. Both the writings and the accompanying painting will be on display.
The Opening Reception is Thursday, February 29, from 5 to 7 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.
The National League of American Pen Women, Inc. (NLAPW) was founded in 1897 when women journalists were not permitted to join male-only professional organizations. The League became a professional organization for women writers, artists and composers, where they could be recognized for their talents. Learn more here
