Colonial Pennsylvania Farmstead Field Day

Colonial Pennsylvania Farmstead Field Day In-Person

Enjoy a fun a day outside at Valley Creek Park learning and playing with the whole family! Colonial Pennsylvania Farmstead’s professional interpreters will be on hand with colonial activities and demonstrations. Children and adults will be able to card wool from CPP’s flock of heritage-breed sheep and learn about each stage of the process colonial farmers engaged in to make clothes from their wool. They will also demonstrate the clothing colonial families typically wore. Families will also be able to play with colonial toys and games and more! Books about colonial life will be on hand

The Colonial Pennsylvania Farmstead (CPF) is an 18th–century living history museum and working farm. Through research and experimentation, CPP creates an immersive experience where visitors can participate in the daily seasonal tasks of a typical farming family in Southeastern Pennsylvania during the American Revolutionary period. Everyone has someone in their family tree who was a farmer and by walking in their shoes, even for just a few minutes, one can connect with the past and gain a sense of their own identity.
