UPDATE:
Kennett library will be closed today. All programs and ALP classes are canceled.

Friends of Meadowitos: A Speaker Series is a monthly lecture series discussing native pollinator gardens and wildlife hosted by Meadowitos of Kennett Library. This month, please join us in welcoming Deborah Gillespie.

About Deborah:

Deborah Gillespie is a landscape planner with twenty years of experience in doing it wrong. After becoming a Pennsylvania Master Naturalist and being introduced to the impact of native plants on the environment, she is making the effort to atone through planting, learning, and sharing her new-found appreciation for gardening in the interest of nature.

About the Talk:

Gardening With Natives; Simplified for Southeastern Pennsylvania presents the benefits and challenges of planting for pollinators, birds, and turf reduction while staying friendly with the neighbors. Tips on how to install and maintain small (but scale-able) native gardens for various local conditions will be offered along with lists of commercially available plants.
