Let's Get Cooking! a cookbook club for everybody In-Person
Each month Let's Get Cooking will feature a special cookbook from our collection for participants to explore. We will discover and share new salads, desserts, appetizers, pastas, brunch, lunch and dinner entrees. To participate, stop by the Circulation Desk at the Henrietta Hankin Library to browse our selected cookbook. Choose a recipe, receive a photocopy and then make that dish and bring it to the "Cookbook Club" meeting.
The cookbook of the month will be selected and announced one month before each meeting and placed at the Customer Service Desk at the Henrietta Hankin Branch Library. You will then be welcome to come in, browse the cookbook, and receive a complimentary copy of a recipe of your choice. This will be the dish that you cook at home and bring in on the day of our meeting.
Participants will discuss the recipes they have chosen, their experience preparing the dish and any changes made. Dishes will be shared amongst the group for tasting. Participants will be encouraged to share food and culture stories from their own lives.
Please bring eating utensils, a dish for tasting and serving spoon for your dish.
Registration is required. Registration will close 2 hours prior to the scheduled start time of the event.
