From the Trenches into the Studio: U.S. Photography in World War I In-Person
Local historian Ryan Conroy offers this presentation based on his personal collection of World War I photography from the United States, most of which has never been seen by the general public. Included are photo postcards of U.S. soldiers in France, Germany and at home. Featured will be many photos of local soldiers from Phoenixville, Royersford and Spring City. Funny, serious, and interesting, the photos demonstrate various aspects and styles of photography.
