The Valley Forge Encampment

The Valley Forge Encampment In-Person

Bill Troppman Jr., a park ranger/historian at Valley Forge Historical Park, will talk about just what life was like for 18th-century troops under Gen. George Washington from December 1777 through June 1778.  "It was tough and if these guys hadn't stuck it out and done what they did, we'd probably be living in a British colony today."

'History is not a dull topic,' he says. 'You have to work at it to make it boring.'

Drinks and snacks will be provided.  Feel free to bring a lunch.
