Poems of Langston Hughes and Gwendolyn Brooks In-Person
Gwendolyn Brooks and Langston Hughes were two of America’s most gifted and prolific poets. These two outstanding American poets were lifelong friends and both admired one another and were inspired by one another. Poet and Professor Lisa Baron will be leading the group with a brief biographical sketch of each poet followed by a reading of their poems. You're invited to read some of their poems ahead of time, and bring one or two to share. Reading aloud is not mandatory, but all are invited to read if they would like.
