Let's Have a Conversation Book Club

We are pleased to announce the return of our "Let's Have a Conversation Book" club on Wednesday evenings in February.  This is the unique book club where we meet for multiple weeks to discuss one book.  We read a specific number of chapters for each meeting and this gives the participants the opportunity to dive into the book and have deep and meaningful conversations. We will be meeting on February 1, 8, 15 and 22.

For this next series of meetings we are going to read The Light We Carry: Overcoming in Uncertain Times by Michelle Obama.  This is her new book that was just published in November 2022.  This is an extremely popular book and we are encouraging participants to purchase a copy of the book because it may be difficult to receive one in time by putting it on hold through the library system.  

We are grateful for a generous grant from the Hillview Newsletter Committee that allowed us to purchase eight copies of the book for anyone that may not be able to buy a copy.  Please send an email to Jennifer McLuckie (jmcluckie@ccls.org) if you would like more information.

The discussions for The Light We Carry are going to be 100% virtual and registration is required.  Please click the blue button below to register so you can receive the zoom link.  Please note - the link will be sent out a few days before the meeting.  There are plenty of spaces available, so please feel free to tell a friend about this program!
