Phoenixville Tech Group @ the Library In-Person
The Phoenixville Tech Group holds in-person gatherings on the 3rd Tuesday of the month. These programs are also live-streamed for those who cannot attend in person.
While the primary focus is on computers, applications, and the Internet, our programs extend to online security, mobile phones, streaming TV, and more. We particularly welcome those who have no experience with computers or may not even own a computer. Please join our group and learn the basics. Many of our members started from the same base and are now comfortable using computers and the Internet. When we cover the “basics,” we attempt to simplify the material so all can understand.
This month's topic: Staying Safe Online – This program will highlight things you should be aware of and do to be safer online: using strong passwords with the aid of a password manager; confirming your identity with 2-factor authentication; and avoiding phishing attacks. We will also discuss security software.
