Elder Financial Abuse

Elder Financial Abuse In-Person / Online

Elder Financial Abuse has skyrocketed to be the number 1 issue reported and verified to Adult Protective Services staff – and that’s only the tip of the iceberg. Many professionals believe that a significant amount of abuse goes unreported.  The results of a recent national survey indicate that as many as 20% of older Americans have already experienced financial fraud or are concerned about becoming victims. This session will outline information about Elder Financial Abuse and the latest scams. It will also provide resources on when and where to report to authorities when a person suspects this type of abuse may be happening.
