Balance, strength, inner-focus and flexibility are tapped into in the 1 hour practice.  Each class is nourishing and honest, so you can expect a class that is led from the heart. Participants range in skill level and in age.  

Bring a yoga mat and water bottle.   Registration is requested but not required.  Fee $5.00

Health and well-being has been part of instructor Ann Johnson's life for as long as she can remember.  She has a BS in Exercise Physiology and is also a Registered Nurse.  She was introduced to yoga in 2014 while living in Australia and she been teaching yoga since 2016.

She has studied and taught yoga all around the globe including, Thailand, Australia, France Indonesia, and the USA.  More recently she moved from Australia to Pennsylvania where she has continued to teach and practice yoga.  Currently Ann teaches at Pure Energy in Paoli, PA and also offers private yoga instruction. She enjoys teaching Vinyasa, , Slow flow, YIN and Gentle yoga style classes.

Speaker Joseph Roby is currently working on a major research project entitled "Enslaved at Oakley & Beyond." The goals of the project are to give a voice to the people held in bondage by his Dulany ancestors in Fauquier County, Virginia, as well as to find ancestors and living descendants of Oakley’s enslaved community.

This is a hybrid event:  both in person and online via Zoom.

Are you thinking about making a change in your life or career, but don’t know how to begin? This introduction to the process of reinvention will give you an understanding of the cycle of change, how to assess what needs changing, and how to start changing it! This fun and interactive workshop designed for all ages and stages will start you on your reinvention journey!

BIO

Margie Cherry is the Associate Director of Alumni Career Services at Lafayette College and has been a career and reinvention coach in private practice for 20 years.  Margie is a firm believer in serial reinvention, having reinvented herself many times as an illustrator, copywriter, cartoonist, comedian, career coach, and coloring book artist.  Her compassionate curiosity and passion for helping people discover and manifest their best selves makes her job feel more like play. 

Her dream? To empower others to find as much purpose and passion in their careers as she has found in hers.  Her book “Mom’s Comedy Coloring Book” is published by Humor Outcasts Press and her cartoons can be found in books including “The Best of the Best American Humor” and “The Best Contemporary Women’s Humor”.

Gwendolyn Brooks and Langston Hughes were two of America’s most gifted and prolific poets. These two outstanding American poets were lifelong friends and both admired one another and were inspired by one another.  Poet and Professor Lisa Baron will be leading the group with a brief biographical sketch of each poet followed by a reading of their poems.  You're invited to read some of their poems ahead of time, and bring one or two to share.  Reading aloud is not mandatory, but all are invited to read if they would like.
